RUSTY COOLEY SIGNATURE MODEL
THE 'RC-ONE'
PRE-ORDERS CLOSED - ARRIVING SOON
Rusty Cooley is always pushing the boundaries of what the guitar can do, and he needs an instrument that can keep up with his creativity and technique. “A good friend of mine turned me on to Ormsby guitars and I was immediately intrigued,” Cooley says. “The guitar played great and had a very cutting-edge and innovative look. After speaking with Perry I knew this was the right move for me. Finally a guitar builder with the vision to go where no-one else has ever been, and the balls to do it!”
“Rusty and I are on the same wavelength when it comes to pushing the boundaries of guitar design,” luthier Perry Ormsby says. “When we began designing Rusty’s new guitar, we spent hours on Skype discussing everything from upper fret access to headstock shape to the perfect control location, to shared inspirations like Randy Rhoads. This is an instrument that really captures the excitement and passion of both playing and making guitars.”
“I’ve always likened my guitars to high-performance cars like a Lamborghini, but what we’re working with now is clearly alien technology,” Cooley says.
After a fantastic response when announced at the Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, and overwhelming aclaim and demand on social media, we are proud to present, the RC-One GTR Series.

NOTE: We've made some minor changes to the original prototype released at Winter NAMM, 2019. In the interest of transparency, here they are:
1. The end of the fretboard, past the 27th fret, has been reduced to bring the pickup closer to the last fret.
2. The bridge pickup has been moved towards the bridge a few mm. Changes 1+2 give a slightly wider tonal range.
3. The locking nut has been revised and improved from the original groundbreaking design. The screw mounts have been relocated, allowing a lower profile overall. And, furthermore, the finish will be black for this part rather than the polished brass of the prototype.

HOW TO ORDER:
If you're new to ordering guitars from Ormsby Guitars, we do things a little differently around here.
All GTR Series models are offered up for what we call "pre-order". This allows us to accurately schedule production volumes, to meet demand. Most other companies take a wild guess, add on a nominal fee just in case they are wrong, and pass those costs on to you. We do it the other way around. We work out what we can build each model for, including all the specifications we've dreamed up, and present that to our customers. We then open each release up for pre-orders, and base all production on the orders we actually have, not some imaginary boardroom figure :) Got it? Easy huh?
Furthermore, we understand not everyone can just lay down the full amount for their next dream guitar. And why should they, it's a pre-order, right? So we offer the option of interest free payment plans.
There are five payment plans:
Plan 1: $1500 AUD up front, pay off the remainder when it's time to ship. (note: this plan gives priority when its time to ship)
Plan 2: $500 AUD up front, then $500 eight weeks later, and another $500 AUD eight weeks after that, to a total of $1500 AUD.
Plan 3: $495 AUD up front, then $335 AUD at the 4th, 9th and 16th week, to a total of $1500 AUD.
Plan 4: $375 AUD up front, then $375 AUD at the 6th, 10th and 15th week, to a total of $1500 AUD.
Plan 5: $350 AUD up front, then $250 AUD each month for three months, to a total of $1100 AUD (note: this plan ships last)
Note: None of these payment plants allow you to pay off the full cost of the instrument. When it comes time to start organising to have your guitar processed for quality control inspections and shipping, we will reach out to check your address, offer you some extras like merch and accessories, and bill you for the remainder at that time.
For your reference, here is a basic, rough, AUD to USD guide:
$1500 AUD - $1020 USD
$500 AUD - $340 USD
$350 AUD - $240 USD
$250 AUD - $170 USD
Of course, currencies DO fluctuate, so this is just a rough guide to help you plan. But in the last few years its only really moved a few cents, so not a big deal (actually moved in favour of the USD!). All payments will be in AUD, and paypal converts this automatically, regardless of where you live, or which currency you normally use. It's all automatic, so you don't need to worry.

Our distributor and dealer network has worked extremely hard to help us increase brand exposure, allowing more access to purchasing our instruments. We have worked very close with the distributors, and stores, to try and get pricing as close to equal throughout the world.
If you are pre-ordering direct from us, you will have to cover the importation, taxes, duties and postage costs to your locality. This means, if you are in Europe or the UK, you'll pay import taxes and VAT on your purchase. In Japan and China, there are importation costs and taxes.
When distributors and dealers import guitars, they cover these taxes and duties. They will be included in the final price. The price you see at the store, is the all inclusive price. Our pricing you see on this page, direct from us, does NOT cover any of those local costs AT ALL.
If for some rare and unfortunate event you have a warranty claim, or shipping damage (heaven forbid!), either way you will be covered. However this process IS much smoother, faster, and easier if you have a store to assist. Stores and distributors won't be able to assist if you pre-order direct from us. You'd need to do a lot more to help us assist you, if ordering direct.
