The mighty HypeGTR! Our most infamous model... it's agressive, light weight, and build for the rigours of touring.
For this run, we are offering both RIGHT and LEFT* hand guitars!

Hype GTR:
The fanned arrangement of the Multiscale fretboard creates scale lengths for each individual string. We generally call this the "spread".
For the GTR range, the spread is as follows:
Six string: 25.5" - 27.5" Multiscale
Seven string: 25.5" - 27.8" Multiscale
Eight string: 25.5"-28.3" Multiscale
Due to the increased scale length on the bass side, the tension of the strings increases. We recommend you try dropping a gauge on the bottom end, for example, if you usually use 9-46's, try 9-42's. To learn more about Multiscale, please view our information page here.
Body dimensions (thickness): 38mm. For comparison, Jacksons, Ibanez RG, Fender Strats, etc are generally 47mm.
Neck shape: 19.0mm @ 1st, 21 @ 17th, D shape with round shoulders. AKA "thin U"
HARDWARE
Our own proprietory Multiscale bridge, and locking machineheads.
TONE
Our Hot Rock A8 model Humbucker (13.4k approximate DC resistance) features pride of place in the bridge position, with a De La Creme A2 (8.0k approximate DC resistance) in the neck. Both of these pickups are made to our own specifications by our partners in Korea. 500k pots for volume, a 3 way toggle, and 500k push/pull tone pot for coil splitting. Tusq nut.

See below for full details. All models are GLOSS finish, with satin necks.

Generous listings of merchandise (shirts, hoodies, straps, etc), UV lights for the glow side dots, pickup upgrades, strap locks, stickers, posters, guitar care packs, etc, are all offered prior to shipping, to allow you to get those bits and pieces for no extra shipping costs.
We also offer optional customised setup and string sets for the HypeGTR models.
HypeGTR gigbag can be upgraded to a hardcase too if you prefer.

NOTES FOR ORDER CHANGES:
Order cancellations forfeit a $375 AUD deposit. This deposit CAN be used for future orders within 12 months. Your order generates significant amounts of administration work, scheduling, parts manufacturing, and ultimately production of your instrument.
If you already have a current pre-order for another Ormsby GTR Series instrument, and would like to change to this production run instead, an admin fee of $50 AUD applies. This option is not available after March 30th. Please see the Facebook group for all production updates.
As these instruments are still in development, we have setup a private discussion group for all interested guitarists. You'll take part in shaping how these guitars are released, including future models and specifications. So, head over to here and join the fun :)

Payment Plan: This option allows you to make one payment right now $375 in Australian dollars. Each month for the next three (3) months, you'll be billed $375 AUD. This pays a total of $1500 towards your guitar. When the guitars are ready to ship, you'll be billed for: 1. Postage 2. Any remainder owing, as the model you chose was more than $1500 AUD 3. Upgrades - We offer a range of optional extra upgrades including pickup swaps, setup and string size changes, strap locks, etc. 4. Our distributor and dealer network has worked extremely hard to help us increase brand exposure, allowing more access to purchasing our instruments. We have worked very close with the distributors, and stores, to try and get pricing as close to equal throughout the world.
If you are pre-ordering direct from us, you will have to cover the importation, taxes, duties and postage costs to your locality. This means, if you are in Europe or the UK, you'll pay import taxes and VAT on your purchase. In Japan and China, there are importation costs and taxes.
When distributors and dealers import guitars, they cover these taxes and duties. They will be included in the final price. The price you see at the store, is the all inclusive price. Our pricing you see on this page, direct from us, does NOT cover any of those local costs AT ALL.
If for some rare and unfortunate event you have a warranty claim, or shipping damage (heaven forbid!), either way you will be covered. However this process IS much smoother, faster, and easier if you have a store to assist. Stores and distributors won't be able to assist if you pre-order direct from us. You'd need to do a lot more to help us assist you, if ordering direct.
