Just arrived is our second production run of our Metal X and Metal V GTR Series, and seventh production run of the mighty HypeGTR models! Thank you to all our clients and fans worldwide who embraced our designs so far. Your support has been amazing! :)
Whilst the Metal V is a new design under the Ormsby umbrella, the Metal X has been around since 2005. Its nicely proportioned lines and weight distribution feel great whilst playing both when standing, or sitting. The HypeGTR? You should know this one well by now :)
Let's get into the detail then, shall we?
DIMENSIONS
Metal V and X:
Six string: 25.5" scale length
Seven string: 26.2" scale length
Body dimensions (thickness): 44mm. For comparison, Jacksons, Ibanez RG, Fender Strats, etc are generally 47mm.
Neck shape: 19.0mm @ 1st, 21 @ 17th, D shape with round shoulders. AKA "thin U"
Hype GTR:
The fanned arrangement of the Multiscale fretboard creates scale lengths for each individual string. We generally call this the "spread".
For the GTR range, the spread is as follows:
Six string: 25.5" - 27.5" Multiscale
Seven string: 25.5" - 27.8" Multiscale
Eight string: 25.5"-28.3" Multiscale
Due to the increased scale length on the bass side, the tension of the strings increases. We recommend you try dropping a gauge on the bottom end, for example, if you usually use 9-46's, try 9-42's. To learn more about Multiscale, please view our information page here.

HARDWARE
Floyd Rose 1000 series double locking bridges for Metal V and X, our own custom made bridges for HypeGTR, locking tuners, and O-ring knobs fitted to the pots allow for a nice grip if you get all sweaty on stage :)
TONE
Our new Blizzard model Humbucker (14k approximate DC resistance) features pride of place in the bridge position, with a Concordia A5 (8.2k approximate DC resistance) in the neck. Both of these pickups are made to our own specifications by our partners in Korea. 500k pots for volume, a 3 way toggle, and 500k push/pull tone pot for coil splitting. Bone nut.
FINISH
See below for full details. All models are GLOSS finish, with satin necks.

Generous listings of merchandise (shirts, hoodies, straps, etc), UV lights for the glow side dots, pickup upgrades, strap locks, stickers, posters, guitar care packs, etc, are all offered prior to shipping, to allow you to get those bits and pieces for no extra shipping costs.
We also offer optional customised setup and string sets for the HypeGTR models (not available for Metal V and X sorry!).
HypeGTR gigbag can be upgraded to a hardcase too if you prefer.
