Deep Sea and Sea Weed
Over 10 years ago we created a handmade custom shop guitar known as ‘The Shark’. A single-cut, exotic timber model with distinct shark inlays and a shark F-hole as part of the guitar’s semi-hollow construction. It was a striking piece that has gone on to become as synonymous with the brand as birds are to PRS. When we added the GTR series of instruments to our roster of available models, built by our partners at World Musical Instruments, we always imagined we could bring together their ability to fulfill our desires, and our innovative ideas for new models... In 2017 we announced the evolution of the species with our new SX GTR Shark Limited model. And in 2020, we are proud to present the headless version of the series: Goliath Shark Limited Edition.
Utilizing one of our most popular guitar shapes, we’ve taken the modern style of our Goliath and incorporated the beauty and high calibre specifications of its single-cut custom predecessor. A chambered semi-hollow Black Limba body with a Maple top and Quilt Maple veneer is at the core of the tone of this model, with the distinctive shark F-hole adorning the top. The neck features a 3-piece Flame Maple construction (8 string is five piece), paying true homage to the original. The Ebony fretboard is inlaid with our ‘school of sharks’ and logo in Mother of Pearl. Cream binding is used for the fretboard for that perfect extra touch.
As with all our GTR models, the Goliath utilises our custom designed pickups to produce a variety of tones that allow your guitar, effects, and amp to function in unison and retain their individual characteristics. This guitar can go from the cleanest cleans to the heaviest of metals (or djents!) with plenty of tones in between thanks to its coil-splitting options. For even the most avid tone chasers who demand versatility from their instruments, the Hot Rock A8 and Concordia A5 humbucking pickups have been designed with coil split functionality in mind for extra tonal variety.
The Goliath GTR Shark Limited is an endangered species and only 200 will be made available worldwide in two unique finishes - Sea Weed Fade and Deep Sea Fade .

Our own Hot Rock A8 Humbucker features pride of place in the bridge position, with a Concordia A5 humbucker in the neck. Both of these pickups are made to our own specifications by our partners in Korea. 500k pots for volume and tone, and a 5 way blade switch.
FINISH
All finishes are GLOSS bodies with SATIN lacquer necks.

Our distributor and dealer network has worked extremely hard to help us increase brand exposure, allowing more access to purchasing our instruments. We have worked very close with the distributors, and stores, to try and get pricing as close to equal throughout the world.
If you are pre-ordering direct from us, you will have to cover the importation, taxes, duties and postage costs to your locality. This means, if you are in Europe or the UK, you'll pay import taxes and VAT on your purchase. In Japan and China, there are importation costs and taxes.
When distributors and dealers import guitars, they cover these taxes and duties. They will be included in the final price. The price you see at the store, is the all inclusive price. Our pricing you see on this page, direct from us, does NOT cover any of those local costs AT ALL.
If for some rare and unfortunate event you have a warranty claim, or shipping damage (heaven forbid!), either way you will be covered. However this process IS much smoother, faster, and easier if you have a store to assist. Stores and distributors won't be able to assist if you pre-order direct from us. You'd need to do a lot more to help us assist you, if ordering direct.
