The guitar and playing on stage has always been my release. A way to let out all of my frustrations and energy. Music has been and always will be a surrogate for my emotions, both through he music I write and the music I listen to. I would not ever take the privilege of doing this professionally for granted because there are about a million people out there dreaming of this life. My goal as a musician is to entertain, to suspend your reality for the half an hour that I get to play on stage. If I can make someone forget about their problems for even 30 minutes while we play, that's something I can feel good about. I have always been influenced by unusual guitarist, people who can create strange rhythms and melody without necessarily shredding or being phenomenal at the instrument. The Stephen Carpenters or Brian "Head" Welch's of the world. I love the idea of taking the guitar and playing the notes you already have in a very new way. I am always on the lookout for a new way to use my instrument.
